Feedback for “whatever you love” – dates for december

The feedback for Whatever You Love by Louise Doughty is now on the “books we have read 2011”-page.

This Thursday, November 10th at 19.00 (supported by the Canadian Embassy, entrance free), we will have our next meet the author event. I’m moderating. We’ll discuss “The Other Side of the Bridge” with Mary Lawson at the Ingeborg Drewitz Library 3rd floor- Schloss Centre- Steglitz ( Rathaus Steglitz U9 and S-Bahn.)——all welcome !!

Books in Berlin: Goethestrasse 69, 10625 – Charlottenburg (4 mins from Savignyplatz S Bahn) on Wednesday December 14th at 19.30

On Monday December 5th at 19.30 we’ll discuss The Girl in the Painted Caravan by Eva Petulengro (memoir of a Romany childhood).

Our January choices:

Monday group : Less Than Angels by Barbara Pym (Jane Austen of the fifties- witty and ironic)

Wed, Thur, Fri groups :   Jamrach’s Menagerie by Carol Birch. (One of the best stories I’ve ever read. Completely original. Shortlisted for the Man Booker prize 2011.)
